The Savannah Convention Center is currently seeking part-time Stewards to join our family! Be a part of our team at the 330,000 square foot Savannah Convention Center currently undergoing an expansion and located directly across from historic Savannah on the Savannah River.
The Steward position is responsible for cleaning all china, glass, silver and serving equipment; facilitating all plate-up and delivery of all food at the prospective functions; cleaning of all food & beverage food prep and servicing areas, to include kitchen, concessions, back hallways and venue food prep locations. The ideal candidate is dependable, has a helpful attitude while working well with other employees and managers to provide assistance in the kitchen as needed and following all sanitary and health-related protocols.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Delivery of all food to prospective functions.
- Delivery and set-up and breakdown of all equipment to prospective functions
- Maintaining clean kitchen and organized kitchen.
- Running and maintenance of the main dish machine.
- Trash Disposal
- Prepare equipment for offsite events as well as cleaning offsite food area at end of event.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong ability to work with other staff members in the facility.
- Results oriented individual with the ability to meet required time lines.
- Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
- Must adhere to local Food Codes.
- At least two (2) years of experience in a Food & Beverage environment.
