Savannah Jewelry Gallery is a luxury retail gallery and studio. We are a small business in the heart of Downtown Savannah, GA, happily locally owned and operated. Our showroom features a wide range of jewelry, from contemporary pieces to vintage and estate, permanent jewelry, as well as jewelry made right here in the hostess city and surrounding areas by local artists. Additionally, SJG specializes in handmade custom jewelry crafted in our studio, ranging from personalized pieces to one-of-a-kind engagement rings.
We are a collective of creatives who share a passion for quality and unique jewelry and appreciate the value of a collaborative and constructive environment! Our goal is to bring local artisan and vintage jewelry into the spotlight for travelers and locals alike.
Position:
We are seeking to add an engaging sales associate who presents professionalism to our team to sell and discuss the gallery’s products, as well as our permanent jewelry and custom experience. The position is based around promoting and maintaining the sales floor, plus helping our customers find the perfect jewelry based on the client’s needs and style. This position is in person at our gallery on Broughton St.
Experience and knowledge of the jewelry industry, specifically metals and gemstones, are preferred.

Hours:
3 days per week, 8 hr [10:15 AM - 6:15 PM] in-person shifts, one Saturday shift per week is mandatory.
Pay:
Starting at $14 per hour
Responsibilities:
-Opening and closing duties of unloading and reloading jewelry from our safe each day.
-Engaging clients and facilitating sales.
-Discussing our vintage jewelry, artist jewelry, custom jewelry studio, and Forever by SJG permanent bracelet and anklet experience.
-Client contact and outreach via phone call or text messaging.
-Keeping the showroom clean and organized correctly.
-Shipment of online jewelry sales and outgoing jewelry repairs.
Qualifications:
-Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills.
-Attention to detail and professionalism in representing the gallery.
-Preferred knowledge of jewelry, gemstones, and the overall jewelry-making process
-Ability to use and learn computer systems, including the store's iPhone, iPad, laptop, printer, and POS.
A background check is required for this position.
