Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Host/Hostess to join our team in providing exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for welcoming them warmly and ensuring they feel comfortable throughout their visit. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Assist guests with inquiries and provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods and communicate wait times clearly to guests.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
- Handle phone calls professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while taking reservations, answering questions, and taking to-go orders
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization at the host station and dining area.
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively to enhance their dining experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including guest relations and POS systems, is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members alike.
- A commitment to providing outstanding service in a busy restaurant environment is essential.
