What You'll Do in This Position

Operational Technology (OT) is seeking to hire experienced engineers to work within SRS facilities.

Specifically looking for Operational Technology Engineers with interest or experience in process simulation such as JPro, CAPE, and Mimic or process control systems such as D3 or DeltaV, or PLCs systems such as Modicon.

Work with minimal supervisory guidance, may perform cost and schedule estimates, and provide limited guidance to less senior professionals in order to develop software solutions for site operational facilities.

The types of work may include :

  • Develop process modeling or computer simulations
  • Develop new applications or maintain / / enhance existing applications
  • Provide custom interfaces with laboratory instrumentation and configuring Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS)
  • Provide application / control system design and development for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to interface with process instrumentation
  • Work with ORACLE or SQL databases
  • Provide Cyber Security for Industrial Control Systems

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :

  • Scope technical tasks and develop creative solutions to assigned problems within Federal nuclear and non-nuclear facilities.
  • Begin using SRNS systems and meeting SRNS requirements with minimal supervisory guidance.
  • Accepts complex tasks and receives minimal guidance from senior professionals.
  • Security Clearance Information

    SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and / or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

    Qualifications We Require

    Bachelor degree in applicable science or engineering discipline

    Other Qualifications

    Required Disciplines / Majors : Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Systems-Technology, Physics or Mathematics, Cyber Security, Network Administration

    Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.

    Qualifications We Desire

    Master degree in applicable science or engineering discipline

    Advanced knowledge of discipline's standard theories, concepts, principles and techniques

    Working knowledge of pertinent engineering practices and applications
