What You'll Do in This Position
Manage the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of initial and continuing training
programs to support the goals and mission of the Savannah River Tritium Enterprise (SRTE). Manage the training program
s), and is accountable fro the results of training. Provides direction to ensure compliance with DOE O 426.2, Manual 4B,
and other applicable regulatory requirements. Directs development and implementation of issue resolution for training
needs. Provides strategic direction on issues related to training improvements and compliance. Responsible for all
procedures, processes, and records associated with Training program(s). Manage all department personnel including
instructional staff members, administrative support personnel, and all candidates assigned to complete training programs by
the various program owners. Many have significant input in the budgeting process for training program(s).
Administer the Savannah River Tritium Enterprise (SRTE) training program(s) :
1. Manage the qualification / certification programs (initial / continuing) for Operations, Engineering, TPAG, RSO, and other
organizations as needed
2. Manage the general training function (e.g., CONOPS, TFET, 2S Drills, Operating Experience Program)
3. Manage the training coordination activities for all SRTE personnel
4. Manage Training Review Committees and Training Review Boards
5. Assist organizations and / or personnel assigned to SRTE in a matrix fashion with their training functions specific to SRTE
e.g., SRNL, RCO, Construction, Labs, Engineering)
6. Provide final approval for training materials
7. Identify and analyze performance issues and recommend actions to close performance gaps
8. Participate on Oral Boards and field evaluations, and assign training personnel to this function
9. Ensure training programs are in compliance with applicable SRNS procedures, DOE Orders, and other regulatory
requirements
10. Prepare and deliver programmatic briefings to customers / auditors (DNSFB, DOE, QAS, IEB) delineating processes,
products, milestones and future initiatives
11. Identify staffing requirements and seek avenues for realizing cost savings in a continuous improvement and knowledge
management environment
12. Implement and foster the team approach with strong customer focus
13. Implement continuous improvement via the identification and implementation of corrective and improvement actions
14. Perform administrative and supervisory functions for a wide variety of personnel including exempt, non-exempt, and SOP
personnel, instructional staff members, administrative personnel, and candidates participating in various training
programs in a goal to achieve various qualifications or certifications.
15. Counsel department personnel on a regular and continuous basis to ensure a high level of productivity and teamwork such
that all commitments are met to support SRTE objectives.
16. Work with other training departments on site to gain programmatic and administrative efficiencies wherever possible.
This position will lead and direct the development and delivery of procedural document programs for SRNS. This responsibility means ensuring that all procedural documents are maintained in a coordinated, standardized and compliant manner, while initiating change to meet the strategic vision of SRNS. This includes strategic planning responsibilities for long term success for the company and NNSA as well as a strong leadership role in safety throughout the organization. In addition, this position will provide leadership and management in development and implementation of a variety of programs and will frequently be called to represent the company and / or director and assist with director duties and responsibilities.
Security Clearance Information
SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and / or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Require
High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential
Courses in education or training that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery and testing as well as evaluation of training programs if not included in the baccalaureate course material is preferred.
Nuclear Operation Training experience is also preferred.
The success candidate should also demonstrate :
- The ability to work and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to use office software applications for word processing, spreadsheets, and database needs to support the training program implementation, tracking, and any applicable reporting or trending needs.
Other Qualifications
Ability to obtain and maintain a Q level security clearance.
In depth plant operation knowledge, understanding of plant interrelationships and safety envelope are all required.
Qualifications We Desire
In-depth working knowledge of performance-based training methodology, including Operations and Training requirements to satisfy primary facility Category 2 Requirements; i.e., plant qualified trainers, recognized as a plant operations expert. In-depth working knowledge of SRNS, NNSA, SRTE, DOE and regulatory requirements. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required for assigned work area.

Nuclear Operation Training experience is also preferred.
