What You'll Do in This Position
Pit Production and Operation Program is seeking summer intern applicants for Multi Media, IT, and Engineering.
Multi Media - Assist in the design and production of various multimedia programs which may include one or more of the following :
programming, animation, graphics, audio / visual communications in technical, educational, or promotional information systems depending upon the individual assignment. Interpret DOE / WSRC requirements and prepare media comprehensives which meet customer needs, industry practices, and corporate media standards.
IT - Provide support of organization computing resources by assisting with data file creation, maintaining data files, establishing practices and procedures for system utilization and data maintenance, providing user technical support, and defining application specification and development criteria.
Engineering - Begin to plan and develop engineered solutions to technical tasks or project objectives. Begin using systems and meeting requirements with supervisory guidance. Assume technical responsibility for one or more related phases of a program. Cooperate with other engineers / scientists performing related phases of the technical work. Be cognizant of the work performed in other projects in field of technology.
The hourly base rate of pay for this internship starts at $18.00, and may increase based on major and class standing.
Security Clearance Information
SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and / or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Qualifications We Require
Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.
Must be a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university, or within one year after finishing a degree program.
Must have completed freshman year of college.
Must successfully complete Savannah River Site General Employee Training and substance abuse processing.
