Savard is currently Marine Carpenters in / near New Orleans, LA for job # 18186
Job Scope :
Measure and cut fiberglass components per specifications.
Grind, fit and install fiberglass components in the boat.
Install windows and finished exterior hardware.
Use bridge crane, chain hoist and other overhead lifting devices.
Use marine adhesion products, caulking materials and solvents.
Use a large variety of hand and stationary power tools.
Fit and install exterior teak decking.
Build, layout and / or install stairs, partitions, framing using marine adhesives, biscuit joiner, nails, staples and screws.
Scribe, cut and shape materials and structures using hand, power and stationary tools.
Fit and install pre-fabricated items including window frames, door jams, doors and other trim and hardware pieces.
Experience / Requirements
3 years Marine Carpenter
Reading, communication, and basic and construction math skills.
Ability to read and use a tape measure and use a variety of power tools.
Ability to follow verbal, written and pictorial instructions including shop drawings.
Shifts :
Monday - Friday 8 Hours a Day
40 work week
Pay Rate : 25.00-36.00
Up to $1440 w 40 hours / week
