Savard is hiring Crane Operators for work in / near Corpus Christi, TX for Job #20703
Job Environment : Operating a 35 ton hydraulic ship pedestal crane at a client terminal within the Port of Corpus
Job Scope / Duties :
Perform Crane Operation unloading ships and barges to unload cargo such as Coils, Ingot, General and Bulk Cargo
Read and understand the crane operator manual for safe crane operation.
Must be able to use proper rigging and hand signals when making a lift, do not exceed weight limits as posted on load charts.
Perform and document daily, weekly, and monthly crane inspections.
Operate gear properly.
Perform scheduled maintenance on the crane as required.
Must be able to communicate with loaders, riggers, and Foreman.
Assist in other labor duties as needed
Work Experience / Requirements :
Must have 1 year of experience in operating 35 ton hydraulic ship pedestal crane
Must have a TWIC Card
NCCCO Certification, preferred but not required for this site
Osha 10 or 30 preferred but not required for this site
Must be comfortable with exposure to heights
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
Ability to read and interpret load charts
Shifts / Hours :
Start / End times vary but standard hours are 10-12 hour shifts
Days vary between Monday - Friday, Weekends / Holidays as required depending on vessel schedule
Day and / or Night Shift rotations as needed
Max 40 hours
Pay : 25 per hour
130 Per Diem
Employee covers travel / lodging
Duration : Estimated to be 3-4 days but could extend depending on workload. Possibility of working at other sites / returning upon arrival of the next vessel.
