Savard is hiring a Forklift Operator / Warehouse Worker for work in Port Allen for Job #12967

Job Environment : Shipping center

reqJob Scope / Duties :

• Operate forklifts (electric and propane) to stack ts and load materials for shipment efficiently.
• Relabel, repackage, and screen products once per week.
• Load 10-20 trucks daily, ensuring proper loading patterns and completing necessary paperwork.
• Read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved.
• Load and unload, staging, backfilling materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks spaced 13' apart, and shelves by hand and using forklift.
• Secure plastic pellets packaging in vehicles with strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Count and record the number of units moved or handled according to company procedures.
• Accurately attach identifying tags or labels to materials.
• Loading trucks, including handling materials of various lengths and weights.
• Perform daily cleanup tasks, including sweeping and heavy lifting.
• Arrange materials on trucks in a way that maximizes space and ensures safe transportation.
• Correctly organize product based on product labels.
• Must be able to work Tuesday's, Thursday, and weekends

Normal hours 7 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm. No set schedule, you must be flexible

Must be available / On call Monday - Sunday

Pay : 17.50 / hr

There will be a possible pay raise after 90 days based on performance
