OVERVIEW: The Manufacturing Engineer will develop; project manage and implement improvements to production processes that lead to a safer environment, higher quality, and lower cost product. This position will involve hands-on interaction with electromechanical devices and frequent interaction with production teams for technical support, advice and problem resolution.

Competencies
The employee may occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift. Employee will be required to regularly sit, use hand to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee must be able to occasionally lift, push, pull and or move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and project manage improvement and capital investment projects to improve production quality and efficiency.
- Initiates improvement activity to continuously drive the above
- Create and modify documents that instruct the shop floor on basic procedures for assembling products.
- Deploy modern lean manufacturing techniques.
- Ensures that products and components conform to engineering design, FDA and ISO regulatory requirements, and performance specifications.
- Additional responsibilities as requested or required by management.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. / B.S.) from a four-year college or university, preferably in mechanical engineering; and 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- None are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD Design software.
