OVERVIEW: The Operations Support Technician is responsible for overseeing quality control on assembled products, handling nonconforming product, facilitating a relationship between the Quality and Assembly departments, acting as work coverage for various positions, and assisting with day-to-day Operations tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring final quality control on assembled products and accessories is conducted in accordance with procedures and assisting with any issues that may arise

Facilitating the disposition and replacement of nonconforming product:
- Breaking down nonconforming subassemblies to the component level as they are identified
- Confirming all nonconforming components are moved and labeled according to procedure
- Replacing nonconforming components to maintain inventory levels within the Assembly area
- Reworking nonconforming product as assigned according to rework instructions
- Conducting inventory journals daily to ensure electronic system accurately reflects the disposition and movement of nonconforming product and replacement product

Act as an Ambassador for change between the Assembly and Quality department
- Engage with members of the Assembly department to obtain feedback on potential process and product improvements and address the changes and concerns
- Provide feedback in a report to leadership on a weekly basis to Management
- Demonstrate positive quality focus and act as a change agent to drive continuous improvement
- Creating and printing labels for both assembled and sewn goods

Assisting with various Operations tasks as assigned
- Building subassemblies and accessories
- Packaging assembled and sewn goods according to Work Instructions
- Replenishing inventory levels
- Acting as work coverage Quality and Operations personnel as needed
- Additional duties as requested or required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with involvement in quality control preferred, or equivalent combination of training and hands on work experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES OR REGISTRATIONS:
- None required
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required. Proficiency in ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics AX12 is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The employee may occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift. Employee will be required to regularly sit, use hand to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee must be able to occasionally lift, push, pull and or move up to 50 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position works in an environment with moderate noise levels.
