Lead Maintenance Technician for two bustling, mixed-use buildings on the same block in Downtown Buffalo.
Responsibilities & Duties
· Complete unit turns, work orders, preventative maintenance, carpentry, painting, light plumbing/electrical & supplemental landscaping/snow removal/janitorial.
· Manage inventory of supplies.
· Troubleshoot, investigate & diagnose issues to determine a solution.
· Supervise one, on-site Maintenance Technician.
· Provide access, supervise & assist vendors to ensure quality of work.
· Travel primarily between two buildings on the same block of Downtown Buffalo. Occasional travel to other buildings in WNY to assist with emergencies.
· Report to Property Managers.
· Friendly communication with tenants, vendors, colleagues & visitors.
· Respond to occasional after-hours emergencies.
· Rotating on-call schedule.
· Wear provided company Company logo gear daily.
Qualifications
· Five years’ experience required.
· Skilled in carpentry, painting, drywall, light electrical & light plumbing.
· Ability to research online for parts, to help diagnose an issue or to learn a new method of repair.
· Effective verbal & written communication skills.
· Proficient computer & smart phone skills.
· Friendly demeanor with ability to interface with diverse body of tenants, vendors, colleagues & visitors.
· Team player with ability to work independently.
· Respond to occasional after-hours emergencies.
· Reliable transportation & a valid driver’s license.
· Must love dogs. Okay, not literally. But our buildings are dog friendly. You will encounter them throughout your day. Hopefully, they delight you as much as they delight us.
Compensation
· Full-time (with overtime when necessary).
· Flexible schedule if desired.
· $29-$34 p/hour depending on experience.
