Job Duties
- Oversee and mentor a team of patient concierges, ensuring adherence to service standards and protocols.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills in patient interaction and service delivery.
- Assess team performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvement plans as necessary.
- Ensure patients receive individualized support, including appointment scheduling, facility navigation, and addressing inquiries or concerns.
- Anticipate and address patient needs to enhance comfort during their healthcare experience.
- Gather and analyze patient feedback to identify areas for service improvement.
- Collaborate with administrative and clinical teams to streamline patient services and optimize operational efficiency.
- Ensure the availability of necessary resources and materials to support patient services.
- Act as a bridge between patients and healthcare providers, facilitating clear communication and understanding.
- Address and resolve patient concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience.
- Demonstrate cultural competence when assisting diverse patient populations.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse patient needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in medical office software, including electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of medical billing codes and insurance verification procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in a healthcare front office setting preferred.
- Leadership skills to supervise and train staff.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Knowledge of collecting copays and patient payments.
- Pharmacy calls.
- Implement and maintain quality standards for front desk operations.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to streamline processes.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Certified Medical Assistant license (preferred).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong proficiency in medical terminology.
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient use of fax and scanning machines.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
