Job Title : Software Integration Engineer

We are committed to providing exceptional patient care and dedicated to improving healthcare delivery through innovative technology.
Position Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in C# and SQL development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and optimizing software systems, with a focus on building high-quality solutions. In addition to their software engineering skills, the candidate will bring integration experience, specifically with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
This role involves designing, building, and implementing integrations between our Savas EHR platform and various EHR / Hospital Information Systems (HIS), including but not limited to Epic, Cerner, and Meditech. Proficiency in API development best practices, creating RESTful APIs, and enabling dynamic data integrations is essential to excel in this position.
Key Responsibilities :
Design, build, and implement integrations between Epic EHR and other healthcare systems, including but not limited to :
o HL7 and FHIR standards
o Healthcare API interfaces
Develop high-performance RESTful APIs using C# for internal and external integrations, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
Create and maintain modular, reusable code components in C# for use across multiple integration workflows.
Implement API authentication, security, and monitoring to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Design and optimize SQL scripts, queries, and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) to support integration workflows and reporting.
Develop custom SQL functions and triggers to automate and enhance application processes related to integrations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical, technical, and operational stakeholders, to identify integration requirements and design solutions.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation of integration designs, configurations, and testing plans.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of integrations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues, working closely with support, internal IT teams, and external vendors.
Participate in ongoing monitoring and maintenance of integrations, ensuring continued performance, reliability, and compliance.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on C# and SQL.
Proven experience with EHR integrations, including design, build, and implementation.
Familiarity with .NET Core / ASP.NET for developing web APIs and integration solutions.
Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable C# code.
Experience with ETL processes and integrating data from multiple sources into databases.
Strong knowledge of SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
Strong knowledge of HL7, FHIR, API, and data warehousing technologies.
Knowledge of healthcare data standards, such as ICD-10, CPT, or similar.
Experience with integration platforms, such as Mirth, Rhapsody, or similar.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Experience with EHR systems, such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or similar.
Nice to Have :
Experience with agile project management methodologies.
Experience with CI / CD pipelines for integration processes.
Additional healthcare professional certifications such as HL7 FHIR, CPHIMS, or CHTS.
