Consulting Arborist

The Consulting Arborist serves as a subject matter expert, utilizing their arboriculture expertise to provide data-driven insights and recommendations to clients. This involves managing appraisals, inventories, evaluations, and assessments, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the company's growth through sales and business development.

Key Functions and Responsibilities:

Production:

• Conduct field data collection and analysis, creating reports to provide actionable client recommendations.
• Participate in the execution of services sold, ensuring quality and adherence to ethical standards.
• Ensure timely and accurate diagnosis and recommendations for client needs.
• Create competitive proposals aligned with company financial goals.
• Maintain responsive client interactions, addressing inquiries within agreed timeframes.

Customer Service:

• Handle client concerns effectively and maintain positive client relationships.
• Serve as a consultant across various fields, offering expert guidance.

Professional Development:

• Set and achieve personal production and sales goals through an Individual Development Plan (IDP) or Scorecard goals.
• Attend and participate in sales meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain organized records of client interactions.

Sales:

• Proactively sell services through various channels, including cold calls, referrals, and marketing campaigns.
• Prepare cost estimates, negotiate contracts, and present bids to clients.
• Use marketing tools to enhance client acquisition.

Business Development:

• Identify and engage target market prospects, fostering new business opportunities.
• Build reciprocal relationships with allied businesses.
• Represent SavATree in trade shows, conferences, and civic organizations.
• Collaborate with arborists across the company to capitalize on leads.

Environment and Physical Demands:

• Outdoor work constitutes up to 50% of the role, often in adverse weather conditions.
• Requires lifting (up to 50 lbs.), standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Travel to client properties by vehicle is routine.

Qualifications:

• Preferred: TRAQ certification.
• Degree in relevant fields such as Environmental Science, Forestry, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of field data collection and analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in Office 365 and GIS/GPS technologies.

Key Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge in arboriculture and related sciences.
• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
• Sales acumen and business development capabilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with teams across the organization.
