We are looking for an instructor in the Phoenix area that would also be willing to travel to both Flagstaff & Tuscon!
You must possess a current Red Cross Instructor Certification for both Adult & Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid and BLS (Basic Life Support) and also possess all of the equipment needed in order to conduct a class of up to 12 students, including but not limited to Mannikens, AED Trainers, Pocket Masks, BVM's and the technology required to be considered for this position!
Save A Life CPR Training, LLC is located in Michigan and provides training and certification in multiple cities across the country. We are looking for an instructor that is certified to teach Red Cross CPR, AED, First Aid (Adult & Pediatric) and BLS for the in person "skills" portion of a blended learning class. These classes are held in the conference room of a local hotel and are scheduled based on your availability. We typically run classes on Wednesday or Thursday evenings (approx. 5-9:45pm) or Saturday or Sunday mornings.
This is a subcontract 1099 position and each time you go out we will have an Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid (2 hours & 15 minutes) and a BLS (2-1/2 hours) class, pay is negotiable We offer either payment within 24 hours of receipt of the class rosters via cash-app or venmo, or monthly payments via check.
You must possess and provide your Red Cross instructor certifications, you must also have your own equipment which includes but is not limited to adult & infant mannikens, AED trainers, pocket masks, BVM's and face shields.
We require that classes be taught per Red Cross standards.
Duties:
- Conduct CPR, AED, First Aid and BLS training classes for groups in Hotel conference rooms.
- Teach participants how to respond to emergency situations and administer life-saving techniques
- Provide instruction on proper techniques for bandaging wounds, treating burns, and managing other common injuries
- Create a supportive and engaging learning environment in the classroom
- Utilize effective teaching methods to ensure participants understand and retain the information
- Demonstrate proper procedures and techniques for performing CPR, using AEDs, and providing first aid
- Evaluate participants' performance during practical exercises and provide constructive feedback
- Stay up-to-date with current guidelines and best practices in CPR, first aid, and emergency response
Skills:
- Strong public speaking skills to effectively communicate information to a diverse audience
- Knowledge of CPR, first aid, and emergency response procedures
- Previous experience in a related field is preferred
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish rapport with participants and create a positive learning environment
- Strong organizational skills to manage class schedules, materials, and documentation
