Job Title: Grocery Store Clerk
Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to work as a Grocery Store Clerk in our team. This role is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store conditions, and performing various duties such as cashiering, stocking, and cleaning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cashier Operations: Operates cash registers efficiently and performs checkout procedures at or above expected performance standards, including accurate handling/counting of cash, EBT, debit cards, credit cards, gift cards, and checks.
- Inventory Management: Consistently meets or exceeds set standards involving the handling, stocking, and maintaining of grocery, frozen, dairy, smoked meat, and all perishable products.
- Equipment Handling: Handles power and non-powered equipment and hand tools to move stock as needed after proper training.
Requirements:
- Age Eligibility: Must be 18 years of age.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Work Experience: Proven efficient retail sales experience; experience in dry grocery, perishable, meat, general grocery, cash management, and excellent customer service preferred.
- Lifting Capacity: Ability to regularly lift 50lbs.
- Availability: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
