Purpose
Develops overall strategy for categories within their area of responsibility. The Sourcing Manager will utilize leading practices to obtain the best value for goods and services.
Responsibilities
Delivers supplier sourcing strategies to support business priorities and ensures clear service specifications
Explores and evaluates current and new supplier options
Develops and implements strategies that drive year-over-year cost and program improvements for assigned spend categories
Develops and implements category sourcing strategies in partnership with the business to ensure implementation and execution of project ideas
Manages effective and efficient Sourcing (RFx) events for responsible categories
Develops negotiation strategies that achieve stated goals and objectives securing advantageous pricing, terms and conditions
Manages supplier development/relationships to ensure continuity of goods and services that meet the quality, service and price performance standards of the company
Works with internal stakeholders to monitor contract compliance
Recognized leader in Procurement that mentors other growing Procurement professionals as the department grows
Finalizes purchase details of orders and deliveries
Tracks and reports key functional metrics to reduce expenses, improve impact, and drive stakeholder engagement
Monitors and responds to alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
Monitors and manages unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare contingency strategies
About You
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or related field required
3-5 years of experience and demonstrated capability as a Sourcing/Category Manager or successful track record in procurement
Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and collaborate across different organizational levels, functions, and geographies to realize procurement goals while driving organizational initiatives
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven experience in creating and presenting presentations to management
Possess high degree of initiative, creative, innovative, proactive skills and abilities
Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective business relationships at all levels of the company and with vendors
Strong project management, leadership, and supervisory skills
High level of analytical and financial skills
Understanding of equipment and services cost structures
Experience in negotiating contracts
Computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, which may include weekends and evenings, as needed
Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment
Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal
Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment during a normal workday
Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
Salary : $96,000 - $130,000
