We are rapidly growing, and we are looking to hire a qualified, ethical, dependable and dedicated individual to fill the position of Accounts Payable Specialist in our downtown Buffalo Office. Attention to detail and organization required. Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with 2 years experience.
Qualified Individuals will have experience with AP processing, AP Cycle, working with Not-for-profit organization is a plus, Knowledge of Grant reporting and of medical billing helpful. Highly Competitive Salary, determined by experience, education and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Coding transactions, including allocations and recording invoices in the general ledger
- Expense tracking and reporting
- Review and research outstanding payables
- Enter data, maintain records for accuracy
- Assist with billing
- Month end journal entries
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage
Skills
- Proven accounting experience
- Invoice processing
- Not for profit experience
- Grant reporting knowledge
- Financial Reporting knowledge
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software, QuickBooks Online a plus
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills, communicating with Vendors
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
