Save the Michaels of the World is seeking a self starting, experienced, professional, organized and compassionate Director of Harm Reduction with superb attention to detail. The ideal candidate will supervise a team of harm reduction specialists, oversee both a main office and a satellite office, schedule community outreach, and manage a mobile outreach van throughout the community. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for reporting to the executive Director of the organizaton plus completing required Department of Health (DOH) trainings and ensuring all required reporting and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preform independently plus supervise and support a team of harm reduction specialists.
- Oversee the operations of the main office and a satellite office.
- Schedule and coordinate community outreach activities.
- Manage the mobile outreach van and its activities throughout the community.
- Ensure completion of required DOH trainings for staff and self.
- Maintain accurate and timely reporting and documentation as required by DOH and other regulatory bodies.
- Develop and implement harm reduction programs in alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
- Collaborate with community partners, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and reach.
- Provide training and support to staff and volunteers on harm reduction principles and practices.
- Advocate for harm reduction policies and practices at local, state, and national levels.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor program outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and funding requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with funders and seek out new funding opportunities to support program sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor degree in public health, social work, or a related field, and / or Minimum of 4 years of experience in harm reduction, public health, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of harm reduction principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Superb attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
- Experience in program development, management, and evaluation.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Save the Michaels of the World.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
