Job Description:
This position is responsible for supporting the food safety management system and communicating food safety issues to the Quality Department.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a food manufacturing environment, be capable of operating without direct supervision, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and sanitation of equipment prior to and following production
- Loading, pushing, and pulling stacks of cheese via hand carts and trolleys
- Operating machinery during shift operation, adjusting programmed recipes and timing as needed
- Sampling cheese for Ph & moisture checks in the acidification rooms
- Leading production team during absence of team lead
- Inspecting, identifying, and reporting all machinery issues to maintenance
Requirements:
- Able to speak, read, write and comprehend English
- Cheesemaker license required for level 3
- 1 year or more of Forklift Experience & Certification for Material Handler
