Job Description of EHS Manager
This position requires an EHS Manager with extensive crane experience, including the ability to write, review, and statistically calculate lift plans. NCCCO certifications are highly preferred, along with prior crane operator experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and crane companies to plan and schedule crane usage throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough pre-lift planning, including reviewing lift plans, weight calculations, and site conditions.
- Coordinate with trade contractor
- Verify that all personnel involved in crane operations are properly qualified and certified (NCCCO, OSHA).
- Conduct daily crane inspections and maintain detailed logs of crane activity.
- Monitor weather conditions and implement necessary safety protocols when wind or other factors could impact crane operations.
- Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders throughout the lifting process.
- Identify and address any potential safety hazards associated with crane use.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing crane operations (OSHA, ASME B30 standards).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date crane use documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, preferably in a crane-related role.
- Strong understanding of crane capabilities, limitations, and safe operating procedures.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and lift plans.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A valid driver's license.
- Construction safety certification (e.g., OSHA 30) a plus
