Job Title: EHS Manager
Location: Sterling, VA (Data Center Construction)
We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional to work for our Construction Manager on a data center construction project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS and be credentialed with relevant certifications such as OSHA 30, OSHA 510, OSHA 500, ASP, GSP, CSP, CHST, STSC.
The EHS professional will oversee the Environmental, Health and Safety compliance for the project and perform the following duties:
- Oversight of Environmental, Health and Safety compliance for the project
- Conduct documented daily EHS inspections
- Deliver site-specific project EHS orientations
- Assistance with coordinating crane activities
- Participation in the Daily Hazard Analysis process
- Investigation of incidents to determine root cause and development of corrective and preventative actions
- Closely working with the project leadership teams to assist with facilitating an injury-free workplace
- Collection and analysis of leading and lagging indicators to determine trends and put actions into place to address concerns
- Review of EHS plans and assistance with plan development when needed
- Evaluation to ensure contractors are adhering to their EHS plans
- Making certain craft workers are appropriately trained for their required tasks
- Partnership with trade contractor EHS professionals and management of the project safety leadership team
- Liaison with the client's risk management team
- Delivery of various EHS training modules
- Assistance in managing a positive reinforcement program
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in EHS specializing in construction
- Computer knowledge and efficiency, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office products
- BS/MS in a related field
- OSHA 500/510
- ASP/GSP/CSP/CHST/STSC
