DESCRIPTION
This is a hands-on position that will oversee the day-to-day accounts receivable/follow-up section of the revenue cycle operations in order to maximize the collection of payments and reimbursements. Responsibilities of this key revenue cycle position include:
This is a hands-on position that will oversee the day-to-day accounts receivable/follow-up section of the revenue cycle operations in order to maximize the collection of payments and reimbursements. Responsibilities of this key revenue cycle position include:
- Effectively manages PAR performance and workload
- Ensures all assigned reports and work lists are worked and completed timely
- Analyzes and monitors revenue cycle and accounts receivable metrics focusing on accounts receivable measures
- Identify, resolve, and report issues impacting RCM Performance Objectives
- In order to maintain stated department accounts receivable and outstanding claim goals and targets, Supervisor will:
- Work assigned accounts/claims in Management Worklists.
- Work outstanding aged claims as needed to assist PAR’s.
- Responsible for accurate and timely review and approval of transactions including adjustments and write-offs up to a prescribed claim value limit.
- Identifies staffing needs and communicate those needs to the RCM Director
- Meets or exceeds productivity and quality standards for each team member through regular audits.
- Assists in hiring and training new employees
- Other duties as assigned by RCM Leadership

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- A minimum of 5-years revenue cycle management experience
- Experience with Athena a plus
- Multi-state / Multi-company experience necessary
- Behavioral health billing a plus
Preferred Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving ability
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with the RCM leadership team, staff, physicians, and external customers
- Must be able to motivate team members while meeting productivity demands
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial billing and compliance
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 Coding
