What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care position at Saving Others Until Life Stops LLC?
The Direct Care Staff (DCS) provides direct care to female clients ranging from ages 10-17 in a residential setting. This includes providing assistance with personal care, housekeeping, and medication administration. The DCS also provides emotional support to the residents and helps them to develop life skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direct care to residents
Administer medications as prescribed by the physician.
Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of residents and report any changes to the Program Director.
Provide emotional support to residents and help them to develop life skills.
Complete required paperwork, such as incident reports and progress notes.
Participate in team meetings and trainings.
Intervene with clients experiencing emotional or behavioral disturbance.
Monitor the environment for safety concerns.
Maintain written records related to the behavior of the client under his/her supervision.
Assess the progress of the client in their assigned programs.
Communicate information to co-workers in other shifts.
Direct care staff must possess effective conflict resolution skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
