Utilizing the evidence-based Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Model, we work together to keep adolescents in their home who are struggling with behaviors in the community and home. This position provides services for Silverthorne and the surrounding areas.
Daily Impact looks like :
- Primarily engaging caregivers & other key participants in active, change-orientated treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to progress
- Cultivating growth in the whole family unit to empower families to solve their own problems
- Collaborating with families and allowing them to take the lead in setting treatment goals
- Keeping youth in their homes, minimizing safety risks and further legal charges.
Model you would be trained in :
The MST treatment model is an ecological therapeutic intervention for youth aged 12-17 who exhibit high risk behaviors, including substance use, runaway, and truancy.MST therapists work with families, youth and other key members of their ecology to empower families to address challenging behavior and make long term change.Maintain small caseload of 4-6 familiesTo learn more about MST, check out the website : https : / / www.mstservices.com
