Position Description
A key role within the Savion – Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) team focusing on the scheduling, budgeting, document control and execution of large-scale renewables projects, predominately Solar and BESS.
Savion seeks a highly analytical EPC Project Controller with passion for renewable energy to join the EPC division of the Savion team. The Project Controller will report to the Manager of Estimating, whilst also working closely with multiple parts of the overall EPC division and wider Savion business.
The position will have primary focus on the preparation, review, and active management and interrogation of the cost and schedule related dimensions of projects. The individual will operate extensively across the EPC division of the Savion team whilst also providing support to the wider business and externally as required.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Managers in preparing and developing schedules, cash flows, and document control processes of large-scale renewable projects
- Identify critical project risks and magnitude – proposing mitigatory actions and options
- Support and maintain build-up of cost database to support the estimating team
- Communicate and coordinate across broad spectrum of internal project team – ensure consistency and currency of information
- Liaise with project development teams to drive and coordinate earlier execution functions and cost accounting efforts
- Liaise and coordinate with internal team members, external suppliers, and contractors to ensure schedule and KPI’s are being met ensuring projects stay within budget and deliver on time
- Support and assist with interface management between internal and external parties including consultants and contractors
- Review and monitor contractors progress against schedule and ensure key project milestones are being achieved and reported
- Responsible for monthly and weekly project reports for distribution to wider audiences; to include Cost Management Reports, Risk Management Reports, etc.
- Manage and Coordinate Financial Efforts for Approvals
- Manage owner supplied equipment, logistics and storage costs
- Implement and continuously improve budget systems and tools
- 2 Years of Project Controls and/or Scheduler Experience preferably within Renewables sector
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field
- Experience with project schedules, budgeting, and processes
- MS Office knowledge and experience specifically advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Tenacity, persistence, and determination to succeed
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, report writing, and presentation skills
- Excellent personal organization and time management skills
- Experience of writing technical specifications
- Ability to communicate effectively with Savion management and with contractors
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Title and compensation: Commensurate with experience
