Savory Spice, offers over 300 different spices, herbs, handcrafted seasonings, extracts, sauces and related merchandise. We grind and blend our products in small quantities and use only the highest quality ingredients.
The Nitty Gritty:
Location: Denver, CO Lowry Town Center (200 Quebec St, Bldg. 600, Unit 101)
Position Type: Part-Time
Pay rate: $20/hour
Benefits: Employee discount
401K contribution after working for the company for one year, or 1,000 hours
*Note: Blackout dates for PTO are November 1 - January 5 every year due to high volume
The Skills and Know-How:
- Minimum of 1-year management or leadership experience in the retail industry
- Ability to train team members
- Engaging retail floor personality
- Customer management skills
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Merchandising skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Cash handling and POS knowledge necessary
- Love of food is a MUST, but food experience is not required
The Physical Piece:
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Must be able to navigate stairs easily and efficiently.
Store Hours of Operation:
Monday - Friday: 10am - 6pm
Saturday: 10am - 5pm
Sunday: 11am - 4pm
The Details:
This role assists the Store Manager in running their Savory Spice location. We look for the following in our Key Holders.
- Hiring & Training:
- Supports Store Manager in identifying training needs and provides ongoing training to the team.
- Business Acumen:
- Works alongside the Store Manager to develop business strategies to expand store traffic, customer base, and profitability.
- Propose innovative ideas to increase store sales.
- Demonstrates desired behaviors to help meet sales goals.
- Assists in store administration, such as maintaining inventory and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Expediting shipments and deliveries weekly.
- Assists in creating orders weekly when needed.
- Daily Sales:
- Consistently creates a welcoming environment for customers by greeting and meeting their needs; leading by example for the team.
- Regularly communicates with the Store Manager about all store-specific happenings and discusses store opportunities.
- Open and close the shop and the POS system.
- Ensures that all pricing, signage, and displays are always correct.
- Maintain store standards, cleanliness standards, and visual standards.
- Be a shining example to the team in behavior and performance.
