We are currently seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef with Millennia Hospitality Group, you will play a pivotal role in our culinary operations, contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Keeping the Cafeteria clean and organized
  • Cleaning the loading dock
  • Assisting with department requestions
  • Assisting with food intake
  • Cleaning assigned work areas on hotel property.
  • Supporting purchasing & receiving team & steward team.
  • Performing basic serving duties within team member cafeteria.
  • Replacing light fittings and broken globes.
  • Ensuring the safe handling and storage of volatile cleaning liquids and degreasers.
  • Ensuring that utility projects have been completed and signed off.
  • Checking out with manager or chef on duty at end of each shift

Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum education of a High school diploma or GED
  • Restaurant experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask
  • Maintain a high level of stamina while standing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing an average of 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Available to work on weekends occasionally
  • Hospitality industry, especially kitchen experience a plus
  • Work Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a residential setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, people, and equipment. Due to travel, the incumbent is exposed to vehicles, planes, and other methods of transportation.
  • Able to work independently or as a team member and support managers with special projects.
  • Strong collaboration skills - works well across functional areas-excellent relationship-building skills; able to collaborate with various levels of the organization.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
