Savvee Consulting is seeking to hire a Program Manager to support our federal client, located in Silver Spring, MD. This position requires onsite support at the direction of the client. Ideal candidates will be knowledgeable with workflows, able to identify inefficiencies, and provide recommendations to the client for optimized solutions. All candidates must have strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
Essential Functions
- Conducting a comprehensive evaluation of current business processes, tools, and systems to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and areas for improvement
- Reviewing existing documentation needed to assess the current state business operations and technology including but not limited to, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), organization charts, process diagrams, system utilization data, system cost data and more
- Conducting stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and workshops to gather insights on the effectiveness and challenges of current processes and tools.
- Analyzing scope of the National Ocean Service (NOS) Management and Budget Office (MBO) business and design business functions, sub-functions, and services as needed to develop a comprehensive business function model
- Identifying and assessing key technology used to perform business functions and services including documentation of system scope, capabilities, user roles, utilization, and more
- Gathering and analyzing data on customer experience to identify underutilized, redundant, or ineffective technology
- Conducting a cost analysis of current tools and assess cost allocation strategies to identify potential savings and efficiencies
- Developing a gap report outlining inefficiencies, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement, along with actionable recommendations for tools and applications
- Conducting risk assessments to evaluate current and potential future risks associated with existing and proposed processes and tools
- Designing and proposing an optimized service delivery and management model to enhance efficiency and reduce administrative burdens
- Collaborating with leadership and key stakeholders to drive implementation strategies for recommended process and tool improvements
- Developing and maintaining a project plan, including timelines, deliverables, and key milestones to ensure smooth execution of process and tool improvement initiatives
- Utilizing industry-standard project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Lean) to structure and guide project execution effectively
- Identifying documents and managing risks associated with proposed process changes, system upgrades, and new tool implementations
- Monitoring project progress and performance, proactively addressing potential bottlenecks and mitigating risks before they impact deliverables
- Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client
