We seek someone who is adaptable, can pivot in a fast-paced startup environment, and has the ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams while seamlessly managing competing priorities.You’ll be responsible for addressing a wide range of legal matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, minimizing risks for the company, acting as a trusted legal advisor across all internal business units, and representing the company with our external partners and vendors.The Legal Team currently consists of 3 lawyers and a Legal Ops manager. We are looking to add another cool member to our group.This role is hybrid, based out of Austin, TX, Santa Clara, CA, Boston, MA.We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.ResponsibilitiesProvide cross-functional legal advice to Leadership, Finance, Engineering, Product, HR / Recruiting, Sales, Software and Operations teamsDraft, review and negotiate a variety of complex agreements including, but not limited to : leases, employment contracts, licensing agreements, NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, SaaS agreements, LOIs, RMAs, corporate governance documents, purchase agreements, terms and conditions and related paperSupport business development and strategy teams involving Tenstorrent’s commercial partnershipsThink creatively to address novel legal issues raised by modern semiconductor technologyMonitor development in changes on industry specific regulations and legal matters, and provide advice on compliance with applicable laws and regulations while ensuring that appropriate risk management strategies are in placeExperience & QualificationsJD degree and state bar membership4-7 years’ experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably related to commercial transactionsExperience working with startups, preferably in the semiconductor space and / or chip manufacturers or suppliersAbility to lead negotiations and close deals independentlyExperience providing solutions-oriented, practical legal advice to a variety of stakeholdersDemonstrated excellence in analytical, written, and verbal communicationInterpersonal skills and confidence to interact comfortably with employees at all levels of the organization including C-SuiteStrong organizational skills, including ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects under deadline pressureEngineering background a plusCompensationCompensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets.
