Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 9 hours between 7:00am - 5:00pm, including a one hour luch
- No Weekends, No Holidays, No Call!
- On-Call:
- On-call requirements: 600 hours per FTE (Full-Time Equivalent)
Minimum Qualifications (Applicants must meet the following requirements):
- Degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience in relevant settings, including 1 year of providing moderate sedation with recovery. Proficiency in patient care, pharmacology, documentation, and disease management.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license from any state.
- Life Support Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Security: Must be able to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
Core Duties:
- Execute BHCF Responsibilities: Fulfill duties outlined in the Behavioral Health Care Facilitator (BHCF) role as per DoDI 6490.15, ensuring quality care.
- Mandatory Training: Attend a five-day mandatory training program to gain essential skills within three months of hire.
- Patient Care Coordination: Oversee patient care for adult populations, ensuring optimal health outcomes, education, and coordination.
- Patient and Family Education: Provide essential education to patients and their families according to provider instructions and document their understanding.
- Mentor and Train: Guide and mentor new personnel, delegating tasks to promote skill development and empower professionals.
- Practice Standards and Ethics: Uphold ethical and legal care boundaries while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Peer Review and Nursing Evaluations: Participate in peer reviews and evaluations to enhance professional practice and patient care quality.
- Emergency Management: Recognize and manage emergencies, demonstrating competence in life-saving interventions and emergency procedures.
- Accurate Documentation: Maintain excellent written and oral communication skills to ensure precise documentation, including electronic records.
- Critical Thinking: Utilize critical thinking skills to make appropriate clinical decisions based on nursing care theories and evidence-based practices.
- Committees and Meetings: Actively participate in committees, meetings, and decision-making processes, enhancing healthcare delivery and service quality.
- Patient Safety and Infection Control: Ensure a safe environment, promoting employee safety and adherence to infection control policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Job-Specific Training: Complete all required job-specific training on schedule.
- Teleconferences and Reporting: Participate in local, AF, DoD, and national teleconferences as needed for program operations and reporting requirements.
- Productivity and Quality: Maintain consistent productivity and quality in alignment with facility policies and ethical standards.
