Wrap Line Operator Forklift (Weekends only)

Savvy Staffing Solutions, LLC is looking for Wrap Line/Material Handler to work 6am-6 pm Saturday and Sunday only for our client in Devens MA.

A Wrap Line Operator/Material Handler is responsible for operating machinery to wrap and package products efficiently while also handling materials within a warehouse or production environment. The role combines both technical operation skills and logistics handling.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operating Wrap Line Equipment:

• Set up and operate automated or manual wrap lines to wrap products securely.
• Ensure proper tension and alignment of wrapping materials for consistent packaging.
• Adjust settings on wrapping machines as needed for various product sizes and packaging requirements.
• Monitor wrapping speed and quality to meet production goals and quality standards.

2. Material Handling:

• Move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to and from workstations, storage areas, and loading docks.
• Ensure the proper organization and storage of materials in the warehouse.
• Track inventory levels and report low stock or damaged materials to the appropriate supervisor.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to transport materials.

3. Quality Control and Inspection:

• Inspect wrapped products for any damage, defects, or inconsistencies.
• Perform routine maintenance on the wrapping equipment and notify the maintenance team of any issues.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations for packaging and material handling.

4. Collaboration and Reporting:

• Work closely with other production and warehouse staff to meet production deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about material needs and production statuses.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of wrapped products, material movement, and machine performance.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to operate wrapping machinery and material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
• Strong attention to detail for quality control and inventory management.
• Physical stamina for lifting and moving materials.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Job Types: Part-time, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $19.00 per hour
