What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender (Seasonal) position at Saw Creek Estates Community Association, Inc.?
REPORTS TO: Director of Lifestyles
EFFECTIVE DATE: February 2025
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Preparing beverages for patrons at the bar or through the wait staff. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
1. Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation and safety procedures and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.
2. Verify identification and age requirements of customers
3. Mix traditional and creative cocktails
4. Process payment from customers
5. Clean glasses and bar utensils
6. Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
7. Record and balance server/bartender end of shift reports and assist with nightly cash drops
8. Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift
9. Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
Bartender Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience with Bartending
2. Knowledge of Drink Mixing and Garnishing
3. Strong Communication Skills
4. Positive Attitude, Personable Demeanor
5. Multitasking
6. Conflict Resolution
7. Computer Literacy
8. RAMP Certification
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Ability to stand for long periods of time
2. Sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours
3. Must be able to lift, push, pull and move food, equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds
4. Frequent bending and stooping
5. Works indoors and outdoors
6. Long strenuous hours at times
SAFETY HAZARDS OF THE JOB:
1. Potential safety hazards as typically associated with a commercial kitchen environment and food prep operations including, but not limited to cuts, burns, slips and falls.
