What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at Saw Creek Estates Community Association, Inc.?
Reports To: Sous Chef
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provides guests and employees with clean and sanitized utensils, plate ware, glassware, and equipment.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
1. Ensure dishes are sanitized and available as needed.
2. Always keep sanitation solution up to local code standards.
3. Set up dish machine in the AM and closes machine in the PM according to procedures.
4. Maintain daily cleanliness of dish machine and area around same.
5. Wash plate ware, glassware, silverware, pots/pans, and kitchen utensils according to sanitation and cleaning procedures.
6. Replace clean plate ware, etc. in specified shelves.
7. Keep garbage cans empty and replaced with clean garbage bags.
8. Keep kitchen area clean by sweeping, mopping floors.
9. Clean and sanitizes throughout shift.
10. Trouble-shoot dishwasher machine malfunctions.
11. Keep Sous Chef promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action here necessary or suggest alternative courses of action that may be taken.
12. Maintain a favorable working relationship with other employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
13. Always provide a favorable image of the Company to promote its goals and objectives, and to foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all of its areas of endeavor.
14. Assist in putting away deliveries.
15. Perform any additional duties as may be assigned by the Department Manager.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Must be dressed neatly and well-groomed in Saw Creek approved uniform at all times.
2. Lifts and carries sacks and cases of up to 70 lbs., multiple times per shift: places these items on high shelves and in walk-in freezers.
3. Frequent bending and stooping.
4. Works indoors 75%; outdoors 25%.
5. Walks or stands most hours of shift.
6. Works frequently in a hot and damp environment.
7. Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass and metal cans; burns, slipping and tripping.
8. Frequently immerses hands in hot water.
