About the Role :
The Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Ground Tactical Mission Planning Support Engineer (MPSE) will support service-provided ground operator tactical computing systems and software in addition to supporting USSOCOM / TACLAN / SOMPE provided systems / capabilities.
Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To :
- Supports classified and unclassified Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) devices, and associated cables for use by Special Tactics (ST) personnel.
- Updates and maintains SOMPE-approved TAK Suite builds.
- Loads, tests, and distributes critical mission data, as required.
- Upon SOMPE COR approval, provide on-site training when and where required / requested. Some training and test sites may require AFSOC Ground Tactical Support Contractors to wear appropriate tactical personal protective equipment (PPE) (multicam protective combat uniform (PCU), footwear, eye protection, etc.), in such cases the required equipment will be Government provided.
- Supports Level will be Tier 1 / Help Desk.
- Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.

Salary Range : $82,500 - $105,000
