As a service technician, you are responsible for assessing, diagnosing and performing specified maintenance and repairs with efficiency and accuracy.
Technician Duties include but are not limited to:
- Diagnose and repair vehicle maintenance systems
- Perform thorough check of customer’s car and referring all needed repairs and preventive maintenance to the Service Advisor.
- Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management
- Review the technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management.
- Stay current in the latest diagnostic methods and service techniques across a number of brands
- Participate in service training activities; attend factory-sponsored training classes.
- Communicate regularly with service advisor/dispatcher to confirm repair order information and diagnostic information.
- Follow established safety protocols and company policies
- Complete required training assigned through the company training portal.
- Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
- Demonstrate ethical business practices in all interactions to uphold Sawgrass Ford’s good image
Job Requirements include but are not limited to:
- Service shop experience preferred
- Positive attitude and a desire to learn
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs. unassisted
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Knowledgeable with safe and correct repairs needed for vehicles
- Ability to communicate with managers and peers
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Valid driver's license with Clean driving record
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
