What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Auditor position at Sawgrass Healthcare Inc?
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct reviews throughout DCS Regions 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18, covering the bottom half of the state.
- Perform community-based reviews to evaluate DCS services and billing to ensure accuracy and proper billing practices.
- Identify errors and provide education, recommendations, and corrective action plans as necessary.
- Conduct audits that provide a comprehensive evaluation of provider practices, from service delivery to billing.
- Pursue any financial damages to the state when discrepancies are identified.
- Travel in a team to DCS-contracted provider locations to conduct reviews and audits.
- Participate as a member of a larger statewide team, including weekly team meetings, monthly division meetings via Teams, and quarterly in-person meetings.
- Recommend process improvements within the team and division.
- Adhere to all applicable state laws, policies, service standards, and procedures.
- Participate in training to maintain a full understanding of responsibilities and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in auditing, contract compliance, or a related field preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, public administration, or a related field preferred.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
