Job Description
Sawyer Home & Garden Center is now seeking a knowledgeable, driven, reliable individuals to join our Utility team for the 2025 season! If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working outdoors and love providing excellent customer service - a seasonal position at SGC may be a great fit for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Cheerfully greet customers and assist with store information, details on products & services, and any other customer inquiries in a professional manner.
- Report to work well rested, on time and prepared to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Assist each department with a multitude of tasks.
- Collaborate with team members, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Maintenance of building and grounds.
- Lift/push/pull items weighing up to 80 lbs. regularly throughout your shifts.
- Operate forklift, unload and organize deliveries.
- Move products, store fixtures, displays & coolers to new locations around the store as needed, keeping safety and ease of shop ability in mind for our customers.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment - completing tasks that are strenuous in nature - standing, lifting, bending, traversing uneven surfaces, consistently working outdoors & extensive walking.
- Committed to excellent customer service, showing up each day on time with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Available Full-time, on weekends & holidays. Seasonal position, our hours of operation are 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM daily.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
Skills
- Strong ability to multitask in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Maintain a sense of urgency while staying comfortable in a fast-paced setting involving many people while keeping up a team oriented personal attitude.
