Director of Quality

Saxon Aerospace is currently hiring a Director of Quality for a growing manufacturing company in the Greater Los Angeles area.Base pay range $165,000.00 / yr - $200,000.00 / yrAs the Director of Quality, you will lead quality department activities to ensure quality standards intended for the company are maintained.Responsibilities Develop, update, and control the Quality Management SystemEnsure that new and revised customer and regulatory quality requirements are incorporated within the system as required and followed.Responsible for the proper communication of the Quality Management System changes, including but not limited to training personnel on new or revised requirements or systems.Leads quality team and provides technical expertise and guidance regarding day-to-day activities and quality initiatives.Collaborates with cross-functional teams to initiate actions necessary to ensure that customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements are fulfilled.Ensures the quality, clarity, accuracy, and control of Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering documents that govern the products being produced.Ensures that procedures used in the purchasing of materials, supplies, and services related to product quality comply with company and contractual requirements.Maintains the metrics and manages supplier and vendor performance as established in the Quality Management System and best practices.Preferred Skills and Experience 8 years’ experience managing quality teams in an aerospace manufacturing environment5 years’ experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, ITARQuality Management System Development and ImplementationExperience leading LEAN initiativesBenefits for this full-time, direct-hire role include m / d / v, paid time off, 401k, and tuition reimbursement.Seniority level DirectorEmployment type Full-timeJob function Quality Assurance, Management, and ManufacturingIndustries Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing and Defense and Space ManufacturingSaxon Aerospace US Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
