Job Title: Senior Data Scientist
Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid Role- 5 days in office, 5 days remote, repeating)
Length of Assignment: 12 months

Qualifications
Education: Bachelors or higher preferred
Discipline: Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics
Candidate will be involved in AI related research and development activities. This includes working closely with IT architects, IT Product teams, IT Infrastructure Operations, and Cyber Intelligence and Security teams to evaluate new tools and technologies, develop proof of value (POV) solutions, and implement AI solutions within clients environment. Works independently on the most complex programs.
Researches and applies knowledge from existing and emerging data science principles, theories and practices to identify and solve complex analytic problems using established procedures, tools, and platforms.
Works at a high technical level in all phases of data analysis, design, development and support of analytic solutions including design and development of data structures, data integration processes and user interfaces to illustrate the analytical insights.
Tests, compares and validates the results from Machine Learning models before implementing the solution.
Works with multiple business units, in multi-platform environments, on multi-project assignments.
Skills and Experience
- 5 years directly related experience in programming, querying, data structures, statistics, machine learning, data visualization and communication.
- Advanced proficiency in utilizing R, Python, R Studio, Shiny, SQL, Hadoop, etc.
- Experience in developing Generative AI applications including RAG architecture, and model fine-tuning; experience with Agentic AI is a plus
- Experience with deploying ML models and managing large-scale data processing tasks on Azure or AWS
