DevOps Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

Enable data-driven decision making and in-time health monitoring of products by building and deploying infrastructure (AWS & on-premise) to support production analytics capabilities. Support data science teams with the development and implementation of automated test, build, deployment and monitoring solutions.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain infrastructure to produce production reports and analytics, including machine learning models in AWS & on-premise.

Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting capabilities for production analytics systems.

Monitor and resolve any failures in CICD pipelines and production infrastructure.

Maintain and manage a continuous integration and deployment (CICD) pipeline.

Related Work Experience

Building and maintaining software services.

Building and maintaining CICD Tools such as Gitlab CICD or Jenkins.

Building and maintaining monitoring tools for production systems.

Data extraction experience using SQL.

Building and maintaining AWS or other Cloud service infrastructure.

Programming experience in Java or Scala or Python.

Experience with Linux / Unix operating systems.

Experience in Bash / Python / Ruby Scripting.

Required Skills : Tech Stack : - AWS - Terraform - Jenkins - Gitlab Top Skills : - Cloud DevOps / infrastructure experience with AWS ideally, also open to Azure or GCP - Gitlab CI / CD pipelines - Experience supporting Cassandra or similar databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, ScyllaDB, or other NoSQL databases) - Experience troubleshooting within production environments and supporting databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, ScyllaDB, or other NoSQL databases) - Kubernetes - Helm - Terraform

Basic Qualification : Project Scope / Roadmap : - Will start by supporting the infrastructure for, TDCS which is a dynamic configuration / personalization platform used throughout all of Charter's platforms (streaming apps, customer web portals, etc.) o The platform can target specific customers, markets, etc. in order to run experiments or conduct testing in order to control variants - After this work is done, will then move to supporting the infrastructure for ML Ops team projects Responsibilities / Day to Day : - Maintain and troubleshoot system infrastructure independently without guidance - Implement ideas and solutions related to the infrastructure o Ex) if there are issues in production where the load is increasing, how do you maintain the load most effectively? Load balancers vs elastic load balancer vs smart instance. - Systems design and cluster creation
