Day to Day Responsibilities / project specifics : This team is looking for a highly experience Linux-focused Systems Engineer who is highly organized and enjoys leadership opportunities. While there will not be managerial tasks involved, the team is looking for someone who is excited about leading a group of highly talented, but less experienced systems administrators as well as the rest of the technical team. The team is working to gain visibility through avoiding outages, improving process efficiencies and ensuring the data protection. The team needs someone who is a true expert in Linux and enjoys managing a platform as related to data security and data movement. This person should understanding overall hardening and interoperability with enterprise platforms and storage systems. The team is constantly evolving and is looking for someone who wants to make a difference - for example, making tech recommendations to improve results or changing processes for improved security. Once a recommendation has been made, this person should be comfortable mobilizing the adoption of new technologies with the goal of improved product quality. Ideally, the candidate has 10 years of IT experience.
