This is a 12 month project. 100% Remote. But candidate needs to be near to Chicago area. Once in a month onite may be required. 20 hours a week. Visa - All but no H1B. Client is AST.

Client is doing peoplesoft upgrade.

Job Description

Provide consulting services to Upgrade our PeopleSoft database 19c and application infrastructure to People Tools v8.59.x or latest version. This is a part-time role. End client is n the Chicago area but most of the work will be remote.

Description of Services Required :

• Gather requirements, configure, and implement solutions
• Create Install / upgrade process, configuration, setups, and documentation
• Develop required instance startup and shutdown maintenance scripts
• Knowledge transfer to Application DBAs
• Train the key technical owners on the usage and maintenance of new instance and components(s)
• Delivery of assigned project task(s) as required in a stable maintainable state
• Analyze and provide efficient solution for the requested tasks
• Increase the value of the system by implementing new functionality that can provide a value to the business

Work to be Performed :

1. Gather requirements for PeopleSoft Tools v8.59.x and database v19c upgrade activities

2. Download latest install and upgrade media files

3. People Tools Client Setup-Windows Admin Desktop

4. Upgrade database v12.1.0.2 to v19c with latest patch version

5. Setup change assistance for PeopleSoft tools upgrade

6. Install PeopleSoft Tools DPK on Linux server

7. Install PeopleSoft Tools DPK on Windows application server

8. Configure Linux and Windows process scheduler

9. Create and configure PeopleSoft domains

10. Create and configure self-service domain

11. Enable SSL protocol for webserver

12. Configure PeopleSoft integration Broker

13. Configure forgotten password feature

14. Change admin account password

15. Test upgraded PeopleSoft instance - Application DBA plumbing test

16. Refresh / cloning scripts - Revise / develop / test

17. Provide complete upgrade documentation to business application DBA

18. Provide post-upgrade support for issue trouble shooting & resolution activities.

19. Provide on-demand support to customer application DBA for completing upgrade tasks in QA & Production instances
