Long term contract (some potential to go perm, but not guaranteed)
This role is backfilling someone retiring that was a consultant for 10 years
Overview
Technology Vendor Management team
Manage procurement and then manage a portfolio of ongoing work
Important to understand this team in not a procurement team
May help with initial contracts and negotiation, but where procurement would be done once the contract is signed / implemented; this team manages the contract and vendor throughout the duration
Example :
3 year Microsoft contract with X amount of licenses
Assist in beginning with contracts with procurement, manage licenses (ensure they are being used, reallocate, etc.), manage / track SLAs, negotiate additional licenses
Also understand financial components of the contract (if they want to switch from teams to slack... should be able to add input from a technical / use side AND financially what makes since for CVS)
Will manage 4-5 large vendor contracts (million deals) plus a few smaller contracts
Will be training initially, start with smaller contract, and build to larger contracts
Must Haves
Technical Background (open to where it comes from, but needs to understand technical terms, SDLC, etc. in order to understand these contracts). Tech background can be a basic level but the more tech background they have, the better.
Software contract experience as that is what they are mostly supporting. They are supporting some hardware contracts as well.
Experience with vendor / contract management, negotiations, etc.
