What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solutions Architect position at Saxon Global?
SA will spend the majority of his / her time conducting research and systems analysis to solve for data needs across the Work Order Product line. Must be comfortable with a lot of unknowns and have a passion for problem solving. Individual should be able to read APIs through Postman, assess existing design across APIs and downstream integration points. SA creates high level technical diagrams that solve for new functionality requested by CustomOps and FieldOps. Diagrams are typically created in Visio and outline modifications to existing APIs or the need for a new API. SA works closely with Dev Leads and other stakeholders that own data as part of downstream applications (Spectrum Core, Ordering Services, RDM, DW, etc).
Required Skills : Required : - Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and a knowledge base across diverse technologies (no specific software languages as this person doesn't code) - Proven experience creating high level design documentation and process flows
- Create / update technical documents & diagrams o Web / API sequence diagrams
- Map service APIs o REST ? Postman ? JSON ? Swagger
- Coordinate with various internal / external groups to allow team goals to be met
- Interpret requirements to create appropriate test data to validate services o Create test data using applications to create data in desired states ? Would need strong analytical skills to review why data didn't create as desired
- Build and maintain dashboards o Splunk
