Scope of Work / Job Characteristics
The Systems Analyst is responsible for the analysis, documentation, and data mapping of IT systems as part of an enterprise application modernization program. The duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows :
- Analyze and document business requirements to design IT systems that meet organizational needs;
- Evaluating source code of legacy applications to extract and document data requirements.
- Develop design and technical specifications.
- Compile and synthesize technical and operational data to improve processes and system functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals align with business objectives; and
- Map data flows between systems, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility.
Provided Equipment
The Department will provide furnished office space, computer equipment, licensed software, access to the Department's network, and internet access.
Requirements / Qualifications
A bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required. Alternatively, four (4) years of equivalent work experience can be substituted for the educational requirement or on a year-for-year basis where applicable.
