We are seeking a Workday Implementation Project Manager to manage the PeopleSoft to Workday HCM transition. The PM is responsible for assigning individual responsibilities and enforcing accountability, developing, and maintaining a budget and schedule to ensure timely completion of projects. Maintain standard project management documentation and metrics. Work directly with internal sponsors, stakeholders, project leads, and manage ongoing operations to deliver successful implementation of scope and requirements.
The implementation of Workday is being led by Accenture and the Project Manager will liaise with Accenture and DFW ITS Team. The project will be implemented in two phases and use the following modules :
Human Capital Management
Payroll, Compensation and Benefits
Performance Management
Recruiting
Prism Analytics
Absence
Time Tracking
Journeys
Peakon Employee Voice Health
Talent Optimization
People Analytics
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE (5 years)
Experience leading a project implementation of Workday.
Experience leading and participating in technical and cross-functional projects.
Previous functional / technical HCM, Payroll and Financials deployment experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting / software organization.
Experience and proficiency with MS Project.
Experience and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Experience managing large-scale ERP implementation projects. On premises, cloud or hybrid-cloud.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience with PeopleSoft.
Experience in Human Resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Workday implementations through all life cycles stages.
Develop and execute a project plan in order to achieve the project goals.
Provide information to others, both internal and external.
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify variances, perform required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.
Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate validation policies to keep the project plan; accurate, updated, reflective of authorized changes as defined in the change management plan and facilitate customer acceptance.
Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations regarding the project plan to align the stakeholders and team members. Implement approved actions and workarounds to mitigate project risks.
Communicate and present feedback to leadership as appropriate.
Manage resource allocation proactively by ensuring that appropriate resources and tools are assigned according to the project plan.
Formalize final acceptance for the project from the sponsor / customer by ensuring that the deliverables comply with the agreed scope, and any organizational procedures.
Measure satisfaction during and at the end of the project by capturing feedback using appropriate techniques to gain, maintain, and improve long-term relationships.
Contribute to knowledge management capital through activities such as sharing documented lessons learned, documented deliverables, and facilitation of Workday Workshops.
Understand quality standards for own work and monitors and manage work of team members, providing feedback as appropriate.
