What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager position at SAY Group?
We are partnering with a client to hire a Quality Manager for their metal fabrication and machining company in central North Carolina. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively enhance the company’s quality control processes through internal audits, participation in process improvement initiatives, and collaboration with the team to ensure continuous production that meets the company’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement standardized production, quality, and customer service standards
- Identify and address potential risks before they become problems, with a focus on root cause analysis and preventive action
- Perform internal and external quality audits, compiling detailed reports to ensure all products meet the company’s quality standards before shipment
- Build and maintain a strong team through coaching, mentoring, targeted training, and performance evaluations
- Transcribe blueprints, analyze tolerances and measurements, and train the team in blueprint interpretation
