Yard Worker

Saybr Contractors, Inc. is currently seeking a shop and yard worker to maintain, organize, and control Saybr’s construction equipment, tools, and other assets located in our construction shop and yard. The position duties include maintaining tight control of yard and tool inventory. A key component of this position is the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and vendors to maximize the efficient use and distribution of assets. This position requires the successful employee to balance their schedule to make deliveries to field staff and maintain the construction yard and shop space.

The successful candidates must demonstrate the following skills and expertise:

• Demonstrated experience in organizing, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Experience with general construction and trades.
• Ability to operate yard equipment, such as forklift and skid steer and operate company vehicles.
• Superior organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively identify the best approach to accomplish specified work.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn new technologies as necessary.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English effectively with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Other Requirements:

• Able to pass pre-employment drug screening and physical abilities test.
• In possession of a valid Washington State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites and willingness to travel.

The salary range for this position is $19 to $23 per hour, depending on experience. Saybr offers comprehensive medical and dental insurance coverage following one month of employment. Employees are eligible to participate in the company’s 401k/retirement plan following three months of employment.
